Online bingo has become a very popular game. There are a number of different types of online bingo games that players can choose from. New players can become confused when faced with the different types of online bingo games, but they are easy to learn and understand once you read up about them.

Regular Bingo

In regular bingo games there are three ways to win. The first player to cover all of his numbers in a row that runs horizontally, vertically or diagonally wins. Winning in any of these three ways will win you the jackpot prize. The prize is usually smaller than in other types of online bingo due to the fact that there are three possible ways to win.

Cover All

Out of all the types of online bingo games, Cover All is the easiest to play. As the name suggests, in order to win the game, you need to be the first to cover all of the numbers on your bingo card. The jackpot in a cover all game is usually higher than in other types of online bingo, however, to win the jackpot, all of your numbers must be marked before the 41st ball is called, otherwise the jackpot reduces significantly.

Four Corners

When you play four corners, you need to be the first to cover all four corners on your bingo card to win. It is a good idea to play more than one card at a time because only four numbers on your card count toward winning – B1, B5, O1 and O5.

To win in diamond bingo, you must be the first to cover the diamond shape. There are two types of online bingo that use the diamond format. The clearer diamond shape uses the squares B3, I2, I4, N1, N5 and O3. The other type of diamond bingo uses the squares B3, N1, N5 and O3.

In cross bingo, the aim of the game is to be the first player to cover the numbers that form the shape of a specific cross. The squares that make up the cross include the entire row N, as well as B3, I3, G3 and O3.

Winner’s Circle

In this type of online bingo, the player must be the first one to form the shape of a circle around the perimeter of the bingo card. The squares that need to be covered include the entire row of B and O, as well as the first and last square in I, N and G.

75 Ball Bingo

75 ball bingo is popular in North America. In 75 ball bingo, unusual patterns are included from which you can win large bonuses. These may include patterns such as an “A”, an “X” or even seasonal patterns such as a turkey or a Christmas tree.

90 Ball Bingo

90 ball bingo is most popular in Great Britain and Australia and allows players to win more than once per game.

80 Ball Bingo

80 ball bingo suits those who want something between 75 and 90 balls. Numbers are covered by sliding “boards” over them.
